Time for brighter headlights

looking for some brighter replacement headlights for my 89 full size blazer there sealed beams right? any good upgrades? im tired of havign to drive with high beams on just to see the road lol and no its not the alignment of the bulbs either
 
does your blazer have single headlights or duals? My 89 suburban has dual headlights and the only thing I have found is in the LMC Truck catalog that upgrades your sealed beams to run H4 bulbs.
 
slap a couple of 100watt offroad lights on there. did the trick for me. instead of the puny 110w total from the factory, i now have 310w, total. blinds low-flying UFOs.
 
I have those euro headlights on my truck. One of my best upgrades. If they still aren't bright enough for you, do the heavy duty headlight harness to put more direct voltage to the lights.
 
ure local auto store should have the silvania silverstar head lights. i swapped mine and put in a relay so all the amps are off the light switch. i like them.....for street legal

you have silverstars in the small size? I was told they don't make them. I have them in my 85 but those are a little bigger than what my burb has.
 
crap, i think ure right, its the 4700 somethin series huh, i know i put them in my car and both blazers, and i know i got better then the stock ones for the burb. ill have to see when i get home what they were. but they are nice and bright. i know the relay did help too.
 
just as a reference so no one gets confused we are talking about these small headlights

I buy the cheap 6 inch round Chrome lights at walmart. They throw alot of light for 17 bucks
 
Do the wiring upgrade first. It's about $35 from LMC I think. You can make your own up a little cheaper too:D

As others have said: RELAYS WIRING RELAYS WIRING RELAYS WIRING lol.

Don't matter WHAT bulbs you put up there, they just ain't gonna work right with less than full voltage going to them. :deal:

Sounds like this Saturday Matt and myself are gonna do some electrical upgrades on his K5!

We'll be doing the headlight relays, tie the lights together so the low beams remain on while the high beams are on, installing a heated oxygen sensor, and repairing a broken knock sensor wire.

Should hopefully take care of his engine problems, while increasing power and efficiency. I can't think of any way to make a fuel injected engine run worse than straight off the tables in the prom!

Been a little while since I've been able to play with a truck, so it outta be fun so long as it isn't too cold out, lol
 
I just run Halogen bulbs and i also went with the relay upgrade which also allows me to have both low beam and high beam on at the same time when i hit the high beam switch.
