I've got an 82 K10 that I've been building and I noticed I have a broken rear spring. I currently have 52" springs with stock shackles and hangers. Can I swap in the 56" springs and keep everything else the same or do I need different shackles and hangers?

well you will need a shackle flip if you want this to go easy other wise how are you gonna mount the extra length springs? DiY4X has a really nice setup for the shackle flip that allows you to flip the brackets side to side for the use of the longer 56" springs or keep em for the 52" springs.

I know all about the shackle flip but I really don't want to lift the truck because it's my plow truck. I couldn't remember if the 56" springs had different hangers or not. Sounds like I'm gonna be best off with 52" springs.

You can just move the stock hangers back for the 56's.
The holes should be in the frame already ,you will have to
drill them out bigger for bolts to refasten the hangers to the frame.

Yeah, screw that. This is just my beater/workhorse truck. I'm all about upgrading when I have to replace something, but that's a lot of screwing around for a truck that only sees light off roading.
