1/2 ton status
Here it is guys. I have to deal with fuel tank protection. I have a drivers side saddle tank and don't want to put a cell or tank in the box. I still use this as a truck.
I've got to figure this out. My plan now is to build new sliders that mount to the frame similar to smittybuilt nerf bars brackets just much beefier. I have also considered a K5 tank and using a stock skid plat but that location seems just as vulnerable as the saddle tank. I often hammer my rear bumper on culverts and rocks. Also what needs to be done to install a K5 tank. I figure I'd have to do something to the box for the straps and fit it right?
Just need opinions and pics if possible on what guys have done. And yes I did search and got some info but I'd like pics and more info.
