It's a 1983 k5, 6.2l diesel, 156,000 miles, so so tires starts right away but has an injector leak between where the tube and injector meet. I'm taking it to a mechanic for inspection tomorrow morning. If all that is wrong is the injector leak should i drop $2500? or is that too high?

thanks.

Cant help ya too much mine a 72 first gen running great two owners. I drove 6 hours spent $150+ in gas and talked him down $250. Picked it up for $850. but I talked him down for my gas, trailer rental, and the drive.

I've compared prices by seeing what others are selling their K5's for on craigslist, basically by typing in search bar chevy k5 blazer and usually several show up. I put a down payment on a '87 K5 Silverado with a private owner, and I'm hoping yo be getting a good engine outta the deal. But just adding my tidbit. Good luck

I would think that a solid body, complete interior, runs and drives without issue could easily be worth 2k. This is coming from the rusty part of the country.

Is it an injector leaking or the pump? I ask because I know the pump is extremely expensive to fix.

Also, you say it's got rust at the t/g hinges - does this mean the rear floor pan itself is rotten? If so, how bad?

I'm with 496truck, if it's pretty solid then $2k but if it needs a floor pan or injector pump I'd say $1000~$1500 or move on.

Will this be a daily driver or a play toy? If play toy I've heard about a CUCV truck for $800 downtown that's supposed to run.
