Just wanted drop a note to remind you all about the annual CK5 trek to Moab, UT. This year the event will take place September 11th-13th. There is information on the website, blazerbash.com, and here on CK5.com in the Blazer Bash subforum (it's an open forum BTW). More information will follow and be added to the website as things get nailed down.

I know it is a long trip to make for many of the members and I appreciate it may not be a viable option for most. All that being said; if you ever wanted to make a trip to Moab, Blazer Bash is the perfect opportunity to wheel with fellow GM truck enthusiasts. If you love wheelin', I promise it will be worth the time, money, and effort.

If you need motivation, check out some of the past event pics and videos:

Thanks guys! :thumb:

It is worth the trek out there for sure, I only wheeled half a trail last year and it was still worth the 18 hour drive out

Some pix just so you can see what you'd be missing if you don't come out to the Bash...:D

Hopefully one day soon. College and work seems to be occupying time LOL

And that's still a step up from anything Cali has to offer. :wink1:

I will be going this year, have much to do between now and then, but I will get it all done in time.

You must be forgetting the 6 hours through Nevada where all you can see is dirt and sage brush

Well, that part isn't so interesting itself, but you can't deny being really happy when you hit the border. :)

true true, then it turns into sand flats as far as you can see :D. Once I get through salt lake its like I am a kid standing in the parking lot of Disney Land just waiting to be inside

have any of you guys towed rigs long distances with those a frame things that hook up to the bumper or the trailers that you just have the two front wheels on? because i have no way of getting a flatbed or a truck i feel safe towing a flatbed with

I know a couple of members here have flat towed alot. Stallion85 flat towed his K5 from Nevada to Moab in '05.

Yeah that's for sure. You'd also want to pull the drive shafts.
hmm. this is the time i wish i had a semi with a long flatbed trailer. well whatever i guess ill have to figure something out i would rent a u haul trail but 1. they suck 2. full sizes with small tires barely fit so thats no option
