8-10 inital 34-36 all in. vac adv disconnected and pluged.

err can you elaborate a bit more?
vac advanced disconnected and plugged (which is that part as I have never done that....)
also 34-36?? how do you get that??

do you have a vacuum advance distributer? if so it will have a small canister on it with a vacuum line connected to the carb. just disconnect this and plug both the hose and port. engine at normal temp. at idle you should read 8- 10 deg now run it up to about 3500 rpm it should read 34-36 this is inital (8-10) + mechanical. set it at this and re connect the vac adv

well i took the truck out.... and it was running bad.. at each store I stopped at I messed with the timing.. I think I got it close by ear now... but will hit it with a light and all maybe tomorrow...

so far I got...

brake lights working
hazzards working
tightened front ubolts
checked all fluids
timing kinda adjusted
got horn working
guaranteed to pass and a full tank

need to do still
adjust timing
adjust floats and air/fuel screws
recenter steering wheel as it is waaaay off
rear tag light
mudflaps back on
run 3/4 of a tank as per guaranteed to pass...

all by thursday so I can go to inspection
