Alright....I have wanted to set the timing on my K5 but cant find the mark. I think the engine is so greased up the it is covering it. I have Gunked the s**t out of it and it still isnt visable. Anyone have any suggestions as far as an alternate way of checking and setting the timing? I have a lowly carb'd 305 in it still (but not for to much longer). On a side note, I changed out ALL of my vacuum hoses with new hoses and it is amazing the difference they make. I guess some of the older hoses were being crushed by the vacuum.

rool over engine slow and look up from bottom of motor and find the grove in the harmonic ballencer and take some paint pen or tire chalk and fill in the grove then you will find it much easyer when you go to set it up.
