Timing problem

I just spent 3 min timing my engine again. I got it right the first time and she fired right up. Well I am hearing a popping sound at idle. It sounds like mig welding pops. It is coming from the exhaust, it is not a loud pop. Plus it seems like the engine stumbles a little. But I soon as I hit the gas it runs like a champ. I took it out for a 5 min ride and the truck has way more balls. I mean the truck had some nut before but now it moves.

I almost forgot, I have one more problem. Ok when I first went to start the truck she fired right up. But now it seems like the truck is not getting enough power to start. So I took the battery out of that truck and put it in another truck and that truck started right up. I know that it has something to do with the timing. Because I know that sometimes if your trucks timing is off it will make your battery do that.

If you advance the timing too much, it makes the cylinder fire before it reaches the top and makes the engine want to stop and turn backwards so the starter has to fight that. If the starter kicks out, you're timing is probably too advanced.
