I just went out and got two pieces of acrylic (plexiglass or whatever that stuff is
) to make the side windows for my little cap project. So, I figure I may as well tint them too, to block it out a little bit from people trying to look in there. On the way back, I stopped at Pep Boys and grabbed a roll of tint, only to get home, and find out that you can`t use it on Acrylic or Plexiglass. Why is that? Will it not adhere right? or is it something else?
EDIT: Found my answer. I guess when the sun hits it, the plastic emits a gas, which inturn will create bubbles in the tint, and then when you remove the tint, you end up scratching the chit out of the window.
