Has anyone ever heard of or tried DynoBeads tire balancing shot? Just wondering because I'm gonna put some in my 38's.:dunno:

i just used airsoft BBs, the .2g ones and threw about 1/4 of 2000 in there. worked like a charm.

when i slow down less than 10mph i can hear them fall onto the rim but otherwise not at all.

I have the airsoft pellets in my 38 TSL SXs and you can hear them if you are rolling the tire by hand. I can't hear them when driving.

I have 8 golf balls in my 38" Boggers. I had 6 in my 35" Boggers, they seem to work good, but I never tried them without the balls.
I can hear them when rolling the tires, but I can't hear them when I am in the truck.

Excellent reviews on Dynobeads if cost isn't a factor.

I keep hearing Equal clumps.

I plan to try Airsoft pellets and use the chart on the Dynobeads web site as a guide;)

I'm a little leery of golf balls. I think they are too heavy & large to be very efficient. That's a lot of mass to have bouncing from your rim to your tire. Dynabeads are small, Equal is even smaller so golf balls seams to be the wrong direction:confused:

My opinion isn't first hand experience though. Just from the reading research I've done.

Yeah, I also heard that equal clumps if there ever is moister in the tire. Golf balls I think would be too big. I think that I will have the "Tire Tech" throw the tires on the balancing machine and try to zero them out as much as possible without adding weights, before adding the beads. Thanks for all the responses, it helps alot!

I've used both dynobeads and airsoft pellets on my 38" groundhawgs, 39.5 TSL's adn 39.5 Irok...the airsofts are better, easier to put in and transfer...just my two cents.

I used the Dynabeads in several tires. Work great as long as you've got enough of them (obviously). Only thing is installing them with the tire mounted on the rim is a PITA. If you can at all do it have the bead broken and dump them in, then mount them back to the rim. FAR easier and less time consuming if you've got the equipment or are friends with your local tire guys. My wife and I's DD's are both balanced with the stuff and it works great.

I have generic Airsoft BB's in Big Ugly's 38" Michelins. Work great but these tires are famous for being smooth running no matter what. Have heard of folks getting vibes with them in other tires but the last time I heard the story I thought the guy wasn't running enough of them per tire.

Golf balls...every one of these internal balancing threads has someone mentioning they use them but I've also seen pictures of busted up golf balls. Maybe it's golf ball quality that's the issue but man, don't want those things coming apart in my tires.

I used some on a set of 285/75 Open Country MTs. Put in one cup per tire and haven't noticed any out of balance issues. Not too sure if I used enough or not I'd probably put in more for a larger tire.

Well, I put it in and it works great compared to nothing that was on them before. Only one problem, the Death Wobble is back at about 35 mph or so.:angry1::angry1::doah::angry1::angry1:

i have some death wobble on my 35's now around 45mph or so using the airsoft pellets, used about 1.1 pounds of airsoft per tire so i should have enough.... of course it could be worn out steering parts too

My guess would be the steering parts.

I have 11ish ounces in each of my 38's and they hum right down the road just fine.

I used 10 oz. like the chart on the web page said to use. I'm gonna order some new springs and bushings for the kingpins, last time I had the front end apart they were looking kinda worn. It is kinda funny to see the look on someones face in a Mitsubishi in the other lane when it happens though!:haha:

You might try adding a bit more to each. I've found that some tires use a bit more weight than they seem to think.
