I'm trying to get my '76 Jimmy on the road. I bought it with 33s and the suspension is stock. The 33s are literally unsafe, so I haven't been driving it. I scored some 12.5x35x15s Pro Comp Mud Terrains today for a really good price. The question is: I have 10x15 wheels with a 4-5 inch backspace can I mount the 35s without a lift? Or am I asking for trouble? I don't have any problems with the 33s unless I go up a driveway or other incline with the tires at full lock.:dunno:

The answer to your question is:hack::grind::hack::grind::hack: and some more :grind:

In all honesty I don't see how you could get those under there with that much backspacing without doing some major trimming. The wheels are wide, but with 5" of backspacing you are going to be just about directly under the wheel wells in the front, and I know that I don't have that much clearance with the 2" of lift that is on my 80. I believe I will have a bit of trimming to do to clear the 35's on mine when I put the 4" lift under it.
