I have a really good deal on 4 new tires for my 3/4 ton truck. However the only catch is 2 of the tires are load range E and 2 are load range D. The few times a year I tow, I am either towing a single jeep on a car hauler or a 19 foot camper that is pretty light. I do not haul real heavy stuff, etc. I have used load range Ds the last 2 years and have not been to worried about load weights.

If I run the load ranges on the same axle will I notice an issue?

Thanks a ton...

i wouldn't worry about it too much. it all depends on the way a company rates their tire anyway. one company's d might be as much as another company's e. check the sidewall or company's website for the tire's max load. anything close should be ok. obviously, you'd want to keep the same make tire on each axle.

Oh I forgot to mention same company and same brand tire, just different ratings. Thanks a ton all...

I'd just run the E rated tires in the back where most of the weight is while towing or hauling heavy loads. They might last longer than having the D rated tires back there.

X2

I run BFG AT's that are load range d but their weight rating is higher than the load range e Toyo AT's they replaced. The sidewalls flexed less on the Toyos but overall it doesn't seem to be a problem. I've put some decent towing miles on these load range d BFG's and they haven't missed a beat.
