What are some good tire options in now?? I haven't looked at tires in years.

Looking for 37" to 40" tires for either 16.5" or 17" wheels. Would probably like to stay closer to 37's so I don't have to trim the back corner of my front fenders. As long as the "37" actually measures out to be a 37 when mounted. For the right price, up to a 40 could work.

Check out the Nitto’s on skunked’s truck. There also another current thread with a 60% discount code for Pitbulls.

I would concentrate on 17" wheels you will get a bigger selection and probably better price.
I like the toyo and the Yokohama, both are reasonably priced for a 37" and perform well

17" for the better of the 2 rim sizes anymore .

did a blazer with 4" tuff country HD front + 1" zero rate and moved axle 1.5" forward + 1.5" body lift and it did not hit the fenders on the back flexed out . 37" x 12.50 x 17" rim on like 5" b.s. newer m/t rims .

This is my current setup. 6" lift springs up front with the front axle moved 1" or so forward and 2" lift springs in the back with a shackle flip. No body lift. The tire just barely kisses the back corner of the front fender when stuffed with the37" baja t/a.

I've got 37x13.50x17 BFG mud terrains mounted on 17x9 steel wheels with around 4.5-4.75" back spacing (can't remember). Fits great and wheels and tires with road hazard certs was $2100 out the door at discount. Cheaper than the 20s and 33s on my Silverado.

How bad are the pitbull rockers?? I thought when they first came out everyone loved them. They're tempting for under $1k for 4 37" tires.

Seems like most folks that love them are towards the west. I haven’t seen much feedback from southeastern people. The tread looks great for rocks and/or streets but I don’t think they’d clean themselves well in mud.

I did not realize they are that cheap now, people here love them.
I will be looking into it.

That’s a hard deal to pass up when all the Interco stuff is $400+ ea.

Have seen pitbull radials in 37 on trail. They seem to work well, much better than bias treps or swampers.

Pitbull is a pretty popular tire up here , they seem to do well in the nasty bottomless goo we have .

And they are round , unlike Interco products

how true are they to stated sizes?

Around here, mud/sand/clay. Trails I've seen that I could take it to have some small rocks covered in mud and tree roots. Probably more street driving than offroad, but hopefully not much more. I'd be driving it to and from trail rides

What kind of wheeling and how much street driving?

falken and cooper are a couple other 37” options for a 17” rim.

I was truly impressed by the Falkens this summer when the Ultimate Adventure guys came up here this summer

I love my 37x13.5x17 Cooper STT Pros. Way quieter than my 70% worn 35” BFG M/T’s. Wear has been great so far and much better ride. Went with E”s since they are on a burb.

Mud, roots, and rock has been great, but haven’t tried them in snow or ice. I suspect snow will be great and ice will be scary.

I paid 1012 shipped through discount tire on eBay. I think that included a $100 ebay coupon. No tax or shipping. When I had them mounted, discount tire said I should have asked them to match in store. Not sure they could have beat the no tax and coupon, but he seemed confident.
