anyone ever run the 255/85/16 tall skinny tires ?

how did thay handle ?

and over all happy or what ?

dont need this to blow up in to skinny V fat tires or other b/s stuff. just whats asked please.

would be for my plow truck to go on my stock steele rims with gm center caps for old school look and fit perfect with 4" lift.

I was happy with mine. I ran a 255/85R16 Remmington mud brute. They got me around real well and handled fine on the highway.

I have run a similarly sized tire in standard size (33x10.50R15) on my ZJ when I had it and I absolutely loved the tires, rode and handled great! (BFG mud terrains) Worked great offroad as well!

on my silverado now, i love the tire, i got a 255 85 16 cooper st. does great in the snow.

Had that size in the TrXus MT's on my '96 Ranger 4x4. Great tires and loved the size except for in soft stuff. Handling was great because it tracked and turned like stock with stock sized tires.

My brother in law ran them on his '04 super duty, handled fine and lasted a long time. They were BFG muds.

I got 255 85 16s on my duramax, they are toyo m55s.
I had 285 75 16s for the last 4 years... I like the 255s much better " In the snow" They dig better, don`t hydroplane, and you can make your own tracks. By that I mean I don`t fall into ruts left behind from other trucks.
They are coming off as soon as the weather gets better so I can save them. The 285s are going back on for summer.

Hope this works, i`m learning.
This is a pic of my truck with 255/85/16`s.

i know those are crazy money for the toyo but how you like them for mileage and ride and performance.
Yeah 1200.00 for that set, 285/75 16`s are more... suck s ,but they are great tires.
I have had one set of 235/85 16`s two set`s 285/75/16`s and this set.
I get arount 60 thousand klms out of a set... but any truck around here is about the same, cummins, power stroke , d max. They just were them out.

I drive alot of gravel and tow quite a bit, they don`t chunk out like bfg`s , don`t squirm or feel wishy washy, and I`ve never had a flat.

Next set will be m55`s!

BTW i don`t pay for them!:D
Well I geuss I do... farm account.:thumb:
