Would like a tire recommendation, they will be going on a 2001 - Silver-ado HD 3/4 (4x4) Its currently running Bridgestone Duelers 285/75 R16 The truck is a DD at the moment, about 60 miles a day. Looking for something that isn't too aggressive, All terrain perhaps?

Not really looking to spend top dollar - middle of the road works.

Thanks!

^^^^ I agree. I've been very happy with my Cooper STT Pro's so far. More aggressive than you need, but would definitely consider Cooper again.

I've been really happy with the BFG All-Terrains on my 2500HD. I run the same 285/75R16 size with the first set on the stock alloys and the second set on some aftermarket 16x8 alloys.

I've had bfg at on all my trucks since my first k5 (73) I got in1976. Think 6 or 8 new sets 5 k5's. This last set I bought took more weight than any others. Mostly on the same rims for the past 23 years. Maybe I'm biased, but so far so good. I ran their mt on 10" rallys for awhile and really liked them.

depends on what driving you do. How many times a year do you go off road, camping, Beach driving, Etc.?

^^^ they are great all around tires

I have run Desert Duelers on many of my square bodies since the early 80's. Why would you want to change? The only reason I do not run them now is because BFG does not make any Desert Duelers over 35".

I just ordered bfg ko2 all terrain tires for my 88 K5, size 315 75 16. I have had the same tires on my 79 c20 for many years, but the K5 had maxxis mudders when I got it and they have lasted around 7k miles and I have worn out the tread and they are cracked from age. The ko2 is better suited to freeway, street, and mild dirt driving than the mud tires and they have worn well on my pickup. For heavier trucks, especially newer diesels, they have the DT tread ko2 that is guaranteed to 50k miles. People said the ko2 didn't hold up well on the heavy trucks. With the promotions on the tires at 4 wheel parts, it was within 160 bucks of going with no name tires from a regular tire place. Pro comp tires would have been less, but I really like KO2 tires and plan to eventually run them on a new chevy duramax when I buy one.

Anything Cooper or their Mastercraft offbrand.

I’ve got a set of Mastercraft ATX on my Silverado with somewhere north of 70,000 miles on them after nearly 4 years. I rotate every 5k miles but do a lot of highway miles per year.
They’re low on tread life now but still ride and handle great.

I need to put tires on my dually, and have been looking at Cooper's, I'm close to pulling the trigger on them, but then again I have gotten real good mileage out of the Nitto's I currently have on the truck now.. I have had three sets of tires on the truck since I bought it.. It came with Continental's... then I ran Michelen's and then the Nitto's. All three have given me 70k per set.
So for now, I have been watching the ad's to see if anything goes on sale...

anyone else running Cooper's??

The coopers performed really well and we got 55k out of them. They had more left in them but I didn’t want any issues in the snow going to the cabin.

I have cooper AT3 285's on my 79. Still an AT, but decent size lugs, and voids. Have 2-3 miles total now, but I've read only good reviews, and heard lots of good from friends. One friend has run them since cooper released them.

I've had Cooper AT3s on my X for a couple years now and will be putting them on my K2500 soon. They wear nicely, run quiet and do pretty good offroad aired down.

I've been very happy with them.

On my 03 2500 Suburban, I'm running my second set of Toyo AT II Open Country's. Love em. Really quiet and wear evenly. This current set took very little weights for balance. Not made in USA, but Japan's better than china.

BFG is my all around favorite A/T

That said I’m on my second set of Nexan AT on the wife’s xterra and they’re great in anything except solid ice. Not sure I’ll buy another midrange tire as long as these are around.

Several fleet managers are putting nothing but these on and are very impressed.
