Tire siping- Cheapest place to get the tool?

Yeah the carpet knife works well, I'm fairly strong, and I CAN'T cut too deep, I get maybe .25 inches of depth on my cuts. It is annoying to go nice slow and steady, usually I end up just whacking away at em like........ uh yeah anyway.....

that's all the depth you need. otherwise you end up with "chunky" tires because the tread will tear all the way to the carcas very easily.

And it takes me about 45min.-1 hour to groove a 39.5" tire, sipping is a little less time since it's not removing any material.
 
lee valley tools in canada makes a tool called a micro-scorp. it is a very fine rasor sharp cheese gratter made for wood carving they come in diferant shapes and sizes im gunna get one to do my tires. I think it would work better than rasors and be way eser /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Reportedly it's MUCH easier to Sipe if you first wet the tire and keep it wet. May be known, but I don't see it mentioned in a fast scan.
