Tire Valve Recall... Chinese JUNK!!!

I didn't know about the recall, but that explains why 2 of the valve stems on my truck were cracked. I had them replaced with ones that are half brass and half rubber...Hopefully they'll be OK.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah for the one world economy, make sure us Americans and their pets make good expiremental bodies so somebody can save a few cents on junk parts nd tainted pet foods. I had a old Toyota 4x4 I threw on a set of Hankook "performance radial" tires on to have within 5K miles rip apart going down the freeway. The tire sidewall ripped away from the bead like paper from a notebook, Good stuff mang. I had a set of Tiwianeese made Jupiter AT`s on a Cherokee that lasted like iron. Hard to believe there further ahead of the game then China, go figure??

hp600 are those. high pressure . vary good stems in my opinion.

I first had it happen in the middle of nowhere on my wife's car. I then had two stems blow out on my patrol car in about a month!

I used to run a repair shop, and the worst I'd EVER see was a badly leaking stem, but usually just a little leak, 1/2 the time from rust around the hole. I would only buy the AMERICAN ones, but the report said DILL imported them... So much for checking for the DILL name!

Three of my four cracked at the base on a brand new American made sports car. I had all replaced with shorties that had a metal sleeve around them to match the rims. They were Chinese as well.

4 out of 4 failed on 6 month old tires and rims from 4wp on my white truck.

it sucked really bad, went to air up a tire..touched it and it started leaking bad. Checked the other 3 and they all did the same thing. So there i was with 4 tires going flat at the same ****ing time.

That's what mine did. Visually, they looked fine. Then my TPMS went off and I couldn't tell why. I went around and push slightly on each stem and the one nearly fell off. All were cracked around the base with three of them severely cracked and one bleeding air badly. However, it wouldn't lose air while stopped, only when the force of the tire going around made the stem flex.

I keep mine at the recommended pressures for my street rides and the same for the rig except when crawling around the desert when I air down to about 25, then back up for the ride home.

Mine just seem to wear better at 35. Only reason i keep them there.

Not sure how they'd ride with more :dunno:
