I put on new BFG All terrains a month ago on American racing Outlaw two 15x10s as I couldnt find nice rallys.
I wish I had gotten a little thinner tire looks wise now but would 10.5s also give a improvement in ride? The roads here in Fort Worth seem to be the worst ever for our area and I will not every take my K5 in any real off road driving its just too pretty.

Just wondering opinions as I think I found some rally's I am going to buy
they are 15x8s and I think 10.5 would be the max width correct?

Any reason these wouldn't work on my 72 4x4? I know these are expensive if you have a clean clean set for less let me know!
Thanks PG

Glad you said you knew they were high. The most I've ever sold a set for was $200, with $100 being more common. Now that they've been out of production for 20 years I'm sure the price has gone up, but not that much.

Try junk yards, Craig's list, and http://67-72chevytrucks.com Don't forget to post in the Clasified section here, too.

And to your other question, yes, they fit just fine. Same center hole and 6 on 6.5 pattern. You didn't say what size tire you bought, but would not use a 10.50 tire on a 10" wheel. I ran 35x12.50 BFGs for years on those 8" wheels with no problems.

I have 15" wide Boggers on 8" wide wheels right now.

Sorry I realize I left out part of the needed info on the first post.

I guess my main question is would 33x10.5" tires give a better street ride on poor streets then the same tires at 33x12.5's?

I just remember the first time I put wide tires on my Jeep in the 90's it rode a lot rougher I guess because there is so much more surface to hit every bump?

Just wondering if width makes much of a difference I think I would have liked 10.5' looks better also.

Thanks PG

Ouch! That is pricey! I just saw a set Saturday in someones yard with a "free" sign on them. No center caps though.

As far as ride goes, in my experience wider tires seem to grab ruts in the road more often and pull you around a bit, but the ride quality otherwise seems better to me.

Maybe look at the load rating instead? Just a thought, but a lower load rating should translate to softer sidewalls and a smoother ride I would guess.

I know when I went from 12.5 to 10.5 the blazer stopped grabbing the ruts in the road and dragging me all over the road. Much nicer if you ask me. For on road anyway.
