Any one running 15.50 wide tires? Looking into getting a set of 38 x 15.5 x 16 tires. What size width rim would you guys recommend 12 or 10, & what offset? Have any pics of the side shot to show how far the tires stick past the body? Thanks!

Here are some 38.5 x 16 x 16.5" tires on a standard 9.75" wide wagon wheel (~2.75" backspacing)

I have Parnelli dirt grips on 12 in wide Weld SS II wheels with OMF bead locks. they dont have as much tire side wall bulge as on a 9.75 wheel but they look bitchen nun the less.

also look at the true width..

my tires are supposed to be 17" but that is from tread on the side to the other side....

so 40x17.16.5 is truely 14" wide...

Just curious, is there a reason most guys are going with 10 over 12 rims?

first thing is to see what the tire manufacture recommends... my tires recommend a 9.75" wide rim... however that would give me close to a 39" tire and in NJ you have to have a 38" tire.... so I took a chance and used a 12" wide rim and it pulled the height down some.... giving me a 38.8" tall tire and NJ passed it through inspection.... :wink1:
