Ive got some 285 dunlop mud rovers that are balding and i need something a little more practical (cheap and good on highway) im in college and funds are low. any help would be appreciated. thank you, Garrett /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

Just keep in mind that the muds are loud. If you don't mind noise they work great, I have them on my DD.

I wouldn't run recaps on anything, they are a waste of money.
 
the retreads look cheap enough to replace if i dont like them. why not run em all the way around? if yall have any better ideas throw em out here. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree with you 100%, i've had recraps fly off after a few hundred miles. Only Tim would like recraps.

Nope, on my daily driver.

My tow rig keeps blowing out tires, and NONE of those have been retreads.
 
ok i have 285/75r16s and i want a wider tire is 70 wider than a 75. sorry if its a dumb question but im new to metric. thanks for all your help.

No the width is the 285 , the 75 means the sidewall is 75 percent of the width . So if you had a 285/70 it would be as wide , but shorter /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
