Anyone tried the Mickey Thompson MTZ radials? any comments on them? I cant seem to find any reviews for these tires.

my moms f250 psd has the atz...dont get them theyre expensive and slick up DAmn fast. theyre good on the road though...

my friends f-150 has them... he seems to love them... although it is an ifs f-150 that only sees mud holes that my burb would probably make.... so idk. i was looking at them... but with that price i said hell no and went with the nitto mud grapplers.

a friend of mine is running a set on his 4-runner. they are loud for being new and a mild tread design. I worked in a tire shop and learned a lot about tread design. they did their homework when they built it. good siping, stone kickers between the treads, good water dispersal. I was going to get a set and be the guinea pig among my friends but was beat out for that honor.

I'm gonna get another set of Goodyear MTR's. 42K and still going on the ones I have now.

I will be getting the MTZs for Xmas so I have a few questions.

Are they really loud tires? I don't really like road noise...
And, how many miles can I expect to get out of them?

they are louder then my mtr's. And I am running 33's while he is running 31's. there probably isn't too many people who can give you a treadwear on these since they are so new. I looked into them and the size I wanted just came out. so I would be the first kid on the block with the new jordans.:D

What MTRs do you have? Would they be any louder than the pro-comp mud terrains?

I have 305/70R16 goodyear mtr's.

a friend of mine had pro comps on his truck, 33-12.5/r15 they were terrible tires. loud with not a lot of traction.

I don't want the procomp muds, just that a friend of mine got them on his bronco and I wanted to compare noise levels. To me the procomps are liveable amount of noise, I'm not sure I want anything louder.
