hey im going to be getting new tires for my blazer um i was looking into getting a set of bf goodrich mud terrains what you guys think by the way the truck is a daily driver it see's snow and once and a while i take it off road

Well, what size are you looking for? And on what size wheel? If we know the size we can help narrow down some good tire choices for you.
 
I'm not very impressed with mine. They've done okay, but I know there are better tires out there. For as loud as they are and fast as they wear, I think that they would have a little bit better traction off road. They do look good though. My next set will be some Interco TRXUS. They're quieter, heavier, thicker, harder rubber, don't wear as fast and I think have better traction off road. Just my $.02.
 
Yeah, if you plan to go off road with them, the TrXus MT's are the best bet. If you're just going in the snow, dirt, sand, and on the street, I'd go with one of the TrXus STS All Terrains, that's what I've got on my K5 and they run great; best tires I've driven on for their size.
 
I don`t understand why there is such mixed reviews..

I`ve heard the exact opposite. Which is it?:confused: :confused:
 
LTBs, they ride like crap, wear way fast, but pull like a SOB in the mushy stuff. I'm bias and so are these tires

My experience with my BFG's is the opposite as well. (they rock) Granted, AT not MT, but I was under the impression the MT's rode about as long and nice as the AT's from other posts. :confused:

I know, the BFGs sounded like they were ideal for a mild to moderate wheeler, and still perform great on the street:confused: :confused: :confused:
 
Well my dad just got a set of 35x12.50x16's on his ram, and I took them wheeling, and they did pretty well. I was impressed. And they aren't all that loud actually, the wildcat m/t's on my blazer are WAY louder. They ride well and handle well on pavement. Not many miles on them though so I don't know how they wear.
 
I bought Les Schwab Mud Terrain SXT's about two years ago. I have not been doing any hard wheeling (rock crawling/Rubicon/etc.) however, I have towed approximately 35 cords of firewood (1 cord at a time) which included skidding a whole passle of trees with a chain, moderate climbs with a loaded trailer (4000 lbs +), rocks, roots, stumps, ruts, mud, snow, ice and probably someplace in the neighborhood of 2000 highway miles to haul and deliver. (It's a run-on sentence, I know). The only thing I had done to these tires was siping when I bought them for better handling on ice. I haven't even rotated them yet and they are wearing GREAT!!! Prior to these I had two sets of Procomp Mudders that were terrible. Probably great for the mud & rocks but not for a highway rig. Mine are 35's- they don't pull, they're failry quiet and get descent mileage.
