To all the Vendors

No offense to you guys at all, but talking about how 1/4 acre is big blows my mind. We've got three acres and that's pretty small around here. Sorry for the highjack!

Well i'm now in a city of 72,338 population and this is why I have a "large lot" compared to the "small lot" I just sold in Fremont with a population of 221,986.

1/4 acre is not exactly a maintenance nightmare. Could be relative to what you know tho. I maintain about 5 out of 8 3/4 total including about 1/2 + acre around the house.

It's a choice you make and takes up your time. You have to enjoy it. Having the correct equipment makes all the difference too.
It would be a culture shock for me to move back on less than 2 acres, but it's a matter of time to downsize.

a york mount for an LS engines would be cool. ive got a york sitting under my table in the garage and a 5.3L in my suburban.

I want I want I want I want I want

I found a half pulled passenger side serpentine belt bracket at the junkyard. I have it in my garage, ready for someone to us for mocking up :D

for non serp belt if I recall.

I still have the mount and a hand drawn up template.

and yes kilby went from 50 bucks a few years back to 150 bucks for the same dam thing . this is what pissed off a lot of people for this item .

Hmm, can you send me a scan of it with dimensions? I can draw it up on CAD and post it for the DIY'ers.

edit: I'm interested in the TBI/Serp belt version, but if you have info on the LS version I can draw it up too. I just can't test fit it.

There were multiple posts talking about living on giant partial acre lots.

Yes. Which I had to scroll waaay back to see. (And the system tagged your reply as being to Kenny's thing about CAD, which makes no sense.)

There's a button with the word "quote" in it ... :D

did you miss the pics in post #26

its now made and ready for sale at diy4x .

I can still try and dig it out if you wish . I think I posted a pic on ck5 some place in the last year or so .

as to ls that would be sweet but I have no ability for that at this time.

I thought that was your homebrew. If it's available for sale, no need to build it myself yet.

I wonder if there is room to mount it where the A.I.R. pump went?

Unless you mount a bracket TO the factory bracket, to get the York up high enough, seems like it will hit the frame pretty good. I considered that placement too, then realized I'm never fixing my AC anyway. :D
