Well, i would like something i dont need to worry about hitting. So i might start with this:

M1028
6.2L Diesel 4k on it
th400/208 combo rest of truck haas 22k on it
D60 with a LS so i am told
14b with locker
4.56 gears.
All stock. not spec of rest anywhere, but not even close to straight. this is the worst truck i own. The body is the in the worst shape.

So what would you guys do? I have not been able to find a stock m1008 lately and i just lost one i thought i was going to get. Get tierd of waiting.

or you could part it out ;) you know what im looking for haha. 4k miles does sound sweet to me

If or when i put my BBC in there. I think i will be saving that motor, unless someone offers me some good cash for it.

I say go for it. You got 4.56's, a motor with only 4k on it, a detroit in the rear, and the factory limited slip D60 front. Sounds like a wheeler to me.

give it to me, we'll be down again haha.. hmmmm from when i saw it, looked pretty sweet to me.

sell me that 6.2, and swap in ur bbc :) or better yet, take my 350TBI off my hands:haha:

I would put the bbc in it and run the hell out of it. Little bit of lift and some nice tires and you'll be set. As far as the body damage, sounds like your ahead of the game to me. No rust to worry about and won't be afraid to dent it.

I'd leave the diesel in it and build it. It really doesn't take much when you're starting with a CUCV. Forget the BBC stuff, find a turbo and make that 6.2 scream.
