Ok so i just found out I have a blown head gasket. My question is it worth fixing on a rebuilt motor with relatively low miles or should I just go ahead and put a crate motor. I am still undecided so wanted to see what others opinion is. thanks!!! (by the way I dont know the quality of the rebuilt motor)

I would fix the head gasket. It isn't really that hard to do, and probably takes less time and money than ripping that motor out and putting in a new one.

Head gaskets are easy on a Blazer, pull the heads and inspect them for any warpage or cracks.

This should cost you less than $100 and take you a day or less.

well, a head gasket isn't very hard to fix. pretty much i would fix that situation.

on the other hand, if your budget is fat, by all means get a bad ass crate engine. i'm thinking ramjet.
