Hello, I'm lifting my 85 K5 with 8'' front springs, 4'' springs and 4'' blocks in the rear and 44'' monstermudders.I run in the mud so my question is that since I don't drive this on the road with all this lift do I need the Swaybar at all? What are the pros and cons? Thanks for your help? :confused:

I had it with my d44.... once I lifted the truck and put a d60 in.. the hangers wouldnt match so I temporarily took it off and it just ended up being permanent :haha:

When I lifted my 81 K5 6 inches about 5 years ago I removed my sway bar about amonth after lifting it. I couldnt tell a difference. Remove it...it will help puting everything back to gether easier!! It was a pain in the arse to get the one off my 73 K20 Ended up using these tools...
:hack: :grind:

This is a thread I did awhile back.
Click-->Sway-bar

Originally there was a survey, but all the surveys were deleted a while back. I think you can probably tell from the posts what the answer was. A resounding "Loose it!"

in stock form you want ione,

with most lifts you dont need it,

and on the 2wd's its GREAt to have one,
crappy to not have one

I took mine off 2 years ago when I put in addaleafs ,I didnt notice anything until I towed my jeep with it ,it was drifty

No kidding.

I was all ready to reply with the link the thread/survey I did a while back, and then I see I already posted it - almost a year ago!
