I’ve been looking for factory seats for the correct year for a while but they are going for $250 and up on EBay if they look like the one on the left. I got both for $50. Now I need to find a way to rebuild the foam. Luckily I still have a factory pass. seat in good shape so I’ll end up using just the drivers seat that I picked up.

I also found out once I drove 35 minutes away from the house that I’ve got shit in my gas tank. The truck cut out and died coming off the highway and the fuel filter was empty. I let it sit for a minute and started it back up and noticed that the fuel pump was doing it’s job and filling the filter back up.

You need to go to Dallas and see "Sue"...you know, the lady that calls those guys "a$$ monkeys"..:D

You may have water in the gas--the sock filter in the tank will not let water pass thru it easily and it'll starve it for fuel on a long pull or at high speeds..does it skip or stumble too ?...if so its likely water..
Gas cap might not be venting too, that can air lock the tank and not let gas flow to the pump..a hole in a steel line on the top side can let air get sucked in too, instead of gas and do the same thing, not let enough fuel go forward..

Hahaha!

I always go to Quick Trip for gas and I’ve never had a problem with that but it’s possible. As far as I know, the tank and sending unit is original (1983). I haven’t noticed any gas leaks in the line either. Once I got off the highway it died and got it started again but when I got to a red light, it stumbled and had to keep the rmp’s Up to keep it running. It died when I got to the guys house and after it sat, it started up and the fuel filter started getting filled up again.
