That brings back some frightening memories!
Good luck!:D

should've bought some square tubing for rock sliders to weld in place of those old rockers.

I care and am very interested. Like I said I will do this in a couple of weeks. The only difference is I have preformed panels from LMC...yes, I know I should have just gotten sheet metal...coulda woulda shoulda, didn't.

I have to do a small repair this weekend, but it most likely will not happen because the MIG welder is over 3 hrs away and all that I have is an ARC :(

:haha: I remember those days, back when I lived in Mass. Good luck man, the battle with the rust will never end...

Wow that rust was alot worse than I thought!! What do your rockers look like?

you`re tellin me....we put in a good amount of this afternoon...almost there...got to do a patch in the front section of the pass. floor, bottom of quarter on pass. side...then grind the welds and throw some mud down on the seams on the inside and patches and rockers i think....spray prime them, then under coat the underneath, throw the carpet back in(for now) and get ready for sunday.....i must of had some bad body flex....its amazing how much some sheet metal and rockers will strengthen the body up:D

my rockers....well my drivers side, only the top of it was there, and i couldn`t tell ya what the pass. side looked like:D

def. buy some rust bullet.. i see a ton of surface rust it seems.. that will kill the new stuff fast

yea....gonna prime it all up for now, get the rust primer, and eventually(next couple of weeks) i`m gonna end up bedlining it i think.....but i`ll just spray some rust primer down for now until then
