grandson is suspended, so I took him out to see what was going on.
We drove down Catfish Lake road, a dirt road connector between Swanboro & Havelock/Cherry Point.

Things I need: SHOCKS!! And springs. The ones on there beat us near to death. Making an order as we speak.

Would love some custom springs, but....
Going with the soft rides and Bilstiens.

Grandson totally lied to me about what happened. Going to give him a chance to come clean tomorrow.

12 y.o., in the 6th grade. Smart as can be, but lazy a.f.

My grandson and the dogs. Hes a hoss, just has zero drive. His dad bailed early, his step-dad bailed. Just me and my son in law trying to teach him.

Zoomie tracks the chiweenie made in the road. She goes mad in New places. She was calmer when we got home. Need to get her out more in the day. Burn off the nervous energy.

This road is not inherently dangerous, yet about a dozen people a year die on it. It is lined by deep canals on either side for most of it's length, 20+ miles.
They overdrive their vehicles capability, and wind up in a canal, usually upside down. Usually it's children that perish...

They have a "strictly enforced " speed limit now, but I didn't see one cop on it.

Good pics and good times. The kid will be alright with y'all playing a strong roll in his life. Kids will be kids, just get him hooked on something now (cars, trucks, band, etc) so he doesn't have time or desire for the world's crappy distractions, it can get expensive but it's cheap in the long run.

Zoomies are always fun to watch. lol

He did enjoy today. It's been raining along, so the road was pretty bad. He was laughing his fool head off. Talked to him about how the desert trucks could run this and barely feel it.
By the time I got him home he was asleep with both dogs out cold in his lap. Wish I could have got a pic.

Going tire shopping tomorrow...wish me luck.

Well, pulled up the grimmjeeper rpm/gear/tire size calculator. Excerised what brain cells I have left.

If they still work, I reckin I have 4.10 gears. Yay! Works great with 33's.
