anyone know how to remove the drawers in a older tech series mac box? i got 2drawers on the bottom that arent opening and 1 on the other side bottom thats got something stuck behind it and I cant seem to find how to remove the drawers.

probably seperate the slides... if they're ball bearing, extend them all the way out and look for a simple plastic release lever, if not, you have to take the drawer off the slides

look for screws on the inside of the drawer. Our old boxes were like that, screwed and hooked in between the rails. Never taken apart a Mac box to say for sure though.

The Mac guy stops in twice a week. I'll see him again Friday and ask him.

Mac comes in on Tuesday and Friday, Cornwell on Monday and Thursday and Matco comes in on Wednesday. No Snap On for nearly 2 years. :frown1:
But when he did he was in twice a week as well.

How many guys you have that they come in twice a week? or 2 shifts? I go to 2 shops twice a week, and that is first and second shift, that is all.

We have 3 shifts, Day (queen) shift, swing and weekend shift.
But as we work 4 10's guys are spread out all over the place.
Some work mon - thur, then the tue - fri group. Weekend shift is fri- mon, then the guys working sun- wed, some work sat - tue. :doah:

what a cluster... those dealers must have smaller routes... i could never visit shops twice regularly

They all have good sized routes, Portland is a pretty big area.
I suppose ya could call it good customer service.

On the inside of the drawer towards the front you will see the slide latch. take a screw driver and pry out on the bottom of the slide and press down on the top. The slide will pop out.
To get the slide out of the box you pry on the top and push up.
I hope that makes sence to ya.

yes it does thank you so much. i got it all straightened out. i will get pics of the box tomorrow and see what yall think of it.

i just dont see how that's "good customer service"... it's insanity.. i work my route about 65-70 hrs a week, it's just not possible, oh and we have 6 s/o trucks here for one mac and two matco, the cornwell guy just quit after 10 months...

Between the Leasing dept, service dept, and the detail dept there are over 30 techs.
All working different shifts. And all of them spending money on the trucks.
So to cover everybody they have to come in twice a week.
Matco only comes in once a week, he's probably missing out on 15 customers.

We are not the only shop they double stop at either.

wow! i used to service ONE shop twice a week, on the same day because of split shift, i just got it down to where im at the shop when both shifts are there... i couldnt effectively service my route making double stops like that
