I'm getting ready to buy a lathe for the shop. I'm looking for something around 13x40 in size.
I've come down to 3 choices. South bend 13, Clausing colchester, or a hardinge lathe.
My price range is under 5,000.00
So who's used what? I've ran a south bend and liked the simplicity of it, I've heard a lot of good things about the clausing but I have no experience with them. Same with the hardinge, probably won't be able to afford a hardinge but ya never know.
