can yall point me in the direction of a good how to on removing the top off a 90 blazer? thanks
Ya already found it!
Just take all the bolts out. There are also two "security" bolt underneath the bedside. You have to unbolt the bedside panels to access them. There are Torx but I forgot what number. Once you get them out, throw them in the trash, you don't need them.
Next, get inside and push up on the top with your back to break the seal. Be prepared for a torn seal if yours has never been off.
Then, sucker one of your friends to help you lift it off. It ain't heavy, only about 180lbs.
That's all there is to it...
That top gets awful heavy when you forget to remove those 2 security ones!!! /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
I back mine up under a set of scaffolding, slide some 2x4's up under it and drive out. The Torx bolts are #25 tamper resistant I think. Go get it at AutoZone. Get two, the first will probably shatter, did to me.
make sure whoever helps now's what to do.(i now it should be common sense but /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif) when my brother helped me he was STANDING on the tire /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. when we lifted it he fell and it slid down the pass. side fender /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif WTF?? /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif
