Hey all,

Hubby and I are taking the top of the CK5 off right now, but the top is really on there. We took all the bolts we could see off. Is there anything we are missing or any reason anyone can think of why its not coming off very easily?

Thanks a lot

Heather

There are two hidden bolts at the back corners that go up into the top. Then it lifts up pretty easy.

I believe they are considered "hidden" because they are underneath the meal ledge the top sits on. Anyways, if all the bolts are out and it still wont come off it may need a little persuasion. Many times, the rubber seals stick to the metal hardtop and act like a glue. I usually get inside right behind the back seat (or nearest to the gap between the metal cab top and the fiberglass top), bend over, and stand up and push up on the top with my back. Sometimes it hurts, but it usually works if you do it a couple of times.

allow me to ask a noob question... if they are hidden, how do you get to em?

Just to answer.. you would remove the rear inside panels, or at least enough screws on them, to get to the bolts.

Also, there is no reason those two bolts have to go back in.

These are the panels! Military didn't have them. It would be around the second screw from back in that area up under the metal lip.

I think I actaully have some tan ones I dont need, I dont remeber what shape they were in but I don't remember them being great. They werent on my truck when I got them (then again none of the interior was in there) but the PO threw those in with all the interior stuff. Ill take some pics if your interested.
