so its supposed to get in the 40's this week and i would like to replace my top seals befor the rain season starts. when we painted it they got all messed up and we put it back on without new seals, i got them about a month later.

what im wondering is, is it as simple as taking out all the bolts, disconect the wires, lift and move it back a foot or two, and replace?

looking for any info, or tips, or what ever

thanks
mike

I did mine with the top off but I'd say you could just slide it back and put a couple 2 x4s under it so you can get a good flush seal all the way down.

I used the lmc truck seal, it seamed to be of decent quality. But it was alittle long so some trimming was required.

Make sure you have some small clamps to hold it in place while the seal adhesive dries.

Ohh and if you get the lmc truck seal adhesive do not get it on anything you like, that stuff is a pain to get off

i have the lmc seals, but i didnt get the seal adhesive. for my tailgate seal i used rubber cement and that seemed to work pretty good so far.
