top shell weight

What does the fiberglass top shell of a 72 K5 weigh? Mine is single wall.

To quote my 70 owners manual,"Cargo load reduced by 225# when the vehicle is equipped with hard top". Mine is a double wall, but the manual does not specify single or double wall.

I would have to say my double wall hard top is at least 225 lbs.

F-ING HEAVY!! Unless you have 4 friends over or a pulley system setup to hoist it up. I have a system in my garage to pull my double wall top alone, but without it it's a heavy sucka.
