The only thing I know of with fender flares like that and a full top is an HHR.

I thought that too, but then they show a surfer guy actually driving an HHR, I figured they wouldn't put 2 HHRs in the same commercial (?). It would be HHR overkill in my opinion.

I couldn't place it exactly. Thought it looked North of the Santa Monica Pier and probably South of The Getty. Most likely within sight of the Pier but I'm not sure. There is a spot or two that looks damn close to the Santa Monica Beach and isn't.

I'm betting the Lifeguard station there close to the old Getty.

Maybe because they don't actually *show* the pin-striped HHR, just a part of the rear quarter panel.
