Hey all,
I was going to put these on eBay, but what's the point. Being a K5 fan and owner, what better place to have them.
Long story short...
Had (still) and '84 Jimmy with the factory sliding glass in the topper. Green tint tempered NOT the privacy tint laminated. Well, I just happened to break the L/H front sliding glass. Just happened is a little understated, but nonetheless it broke.
At the time I was a GLASS SHOP OWNER with all the glass contacts anyone would want. Comes to be that these non-privacy sliding glass parts have been LONG obsolete. Long as in years prior. I searched junkyards across the country. No luck. I ended up replacing ALL 4 to privacy glass. Threw me back about 3 hundo cost. (remember I was a shop owner)
I've always hated privacy or dark tinted glass in 4X's. Can't see where I'm going in the sticks...I hate that especially at night.
Anyway I have three of these in the green tint. OE brand (I think LOF...maybe PPG) and in nice used shape. (read - go right in your rig and noone will know) Apparently priceless. I would love someone here at CK5 to have them if they need them. I prefer not to go to eBay. Remember, the only part I don't have is the l/h front slider. From what I gather, maybe the only three not in a blazer/jimmy on the planet.
The etc.'s are the auto glass experience I have...pushin' 20 years...all I know. Not to float my own boat, but if you guys need any pointers with your glass installs or questions, give me a shout. I'd love to help.
