Hello,

I have a 1991 K5 Blazer and recently the torque converter won't lock up in overdrive. Eventually I figured out it's because I have a bad torque converter and cruise control release switch (I believe that's what it's called). The problem is I can't find the part anywhere, not even online. I was wondering if someone could help me find somewhere to get it, any help is much appreciated.

thank you

I have a picture of it, I still haven’t found anything that looks similar.

Follow the link above to Amazon or go to Rock Auto and use this part number
Standard Motor Products SLS234 Stoplight Switch. You can also throw that part number into Google search. It has the switch for converter lockup and the vacuum release for the cruise control. This is what you are looking for.

Have you tried to readjust the switch to make sure it is in the closed position when the pedal has no pressure on it.

I have, the problem is the plunger gets stuck and won’t release. My picture didn’t seem to work but it’s like the one that’s been linked but the electric connection is pointing down instead of out with the vacuum line.

The one listed fits about 1000 different Chevy applications.
