So I was under the truck getting ready to bolt torque converter to the fly wheel and when I try to line up bolt holes its a pretty tight fit and if I tap on the torque converter witha hammer I can get them to line up. Its a brand new summit racing converter and its the correct bolt pattern.could this be causes by a brand thick layer of paint on the converter? Or do I got other issues? The flywheel was used with a th350

Are you saying you're having a hard time pulling the convertor forward to meet up with the flexplate? Did the engine originally have an auto trans or a manual trans? If it was a manual trans did you remember to remove the pilot bushing from the crank first?

Pretty sure. It spins free till it hits the raised part of the fly wheel where the bolt hole is. I'll get some pics tomarrow. It had a auto th350 behind it before.
