Hi, I'm having an issue with the Torque converter not wanting to go into lockup, ever.
I have checked the TCC vacuum switch on the firewall, and it works like it should (I applied vacuum manually and at ~2-3 in of vacuum, the switch clicks, and the connection is made, checked via DVM..), and I have attached the vacuum source for that switch to manifold vacuum (temporarily), but that made no change.
Checked the trans fluid level as well, and that was in good shape..
I'm having a hard time finding an electrical diagram of the TCC lockup circuit, so i cant really do any backtracking on that either
Any ideas what might be causing the issue?
If need be, i would be willing to wire up a manual override switch, but i would prefer to just get the thing working like it should.
Truck is a '84 K5 Silverado, 305, 700r4, and high altitude emissions (if that counts)
Thanks in advance...
