What size torx bit for the seat belts where they go into the side of the bed sides? I think its a 40 something, but i need to get the bit today and i cant remember for sure

It's either a 45 or 50. It might even be a 55. I don't remember though. It's been a while since I've torn the interior out of a Cavalier or S-10.

Mine were really tight too but I used some wd40 and a huge flathead and tapped it with a hammer while I turned it. I think I also used a flathead bit in a 1/4" socket for the passenger side.

need the bit size, most of my tool are still in storage, and i have no such large flathead

need bit size

Thats it. I remember the damn screwdriver didnt work and I had to use something else.

Maybe try a cube of butter an old dirty mop and a BBQ stained apron.

Sig worthy again.:haha::haha::haha: You, sir, are a genius in you're own mind.

I think it is a T45 or T50. Although I am sure you have solved the problem by now.

absolutely without doubt T-47 is the correct Torx bit for GM seat belt bolts in these trucks.

I cross-referenced the GM tool number out of the manual last time this came up. I already knew, but there was still some disagreement. :)

balls

well crap, i thought they went up in 5 increments, 45,50,55,60 etc.....

well i stopped at 2 stores, and saw no 47, just 45 and 50 so well see if it works i guess
