I have a 1978 GMC jimmy High Sierra. I need to know what my height would be w/ a 4" lift and 33's(Truck must be parked in the garage as I live in a condo) as I am worried with all the SAG I might not fit and may need to go with a 2 1/2-3" lift. Any help is great. you guys have helped me out many a time before, and I hope I have helped a few also. Thanx guys and TGIF! YEE HAW!

Too many variables to give you correct height.

Tire diameters arent created equal. one brand 33"may really be 32.5" while another may be 33.5"

IF you have worn body mounts or busted ones, your body may be lower by an inch or so.

Depending in the lift you put on. Some 3" lifts actually can give you more than 3".

so forth and so on. See my point? :wink1:

I have 2" lift and 32s and plan to put 33s on once I sell the 32s and I think the stance will be pretty good. but dont know what overall height would be.

Every truck is different. I have 4" EZ rides, shackle flip, new body mounts, zero rates and 33's. Won't fit in my garage.

My 33's rubbed like crazy with the 2 1/2" I had.

I have 4" of lift and 35" tires and it will barely clear an average garage door by about a half inch. The problem with mine is that I have a one-car garage and it won't fit width wise. Can't open my door to get out, and there's no room to walk around it.

I know there are lots of variables, I am just lookin' for some guys to let me know how tall there K5's are overall(roof height) so I can get an average and make a decision. I am currently 74" tall w/31's and no lift.I have 7 and 1/2 inches of clearance to the garage door. I am just worried that I may have 2" of sag? So could I get a few guys to measure there overall height, and give there trucks stats. I would really appreciate it! Thanx

i'm stock height (for the moment) and my 33s don't rub at all. guess i'm lucky.

my new house has a 3-car garage, so i'll finally have the space to really spread out and install my 4" lift. i measured it last week. my k5 sits at 75.5 inches right now, and i can shove my garage door up to 81.5". honestly, i'll laugh my butt off if i install the lift and it means the truck is trapped in the garage. :haha:

I had to airdown my tires with the 4" lift and 33s to get it out of the garage. With 38s I have to let all the air out of the tires.

I have a 4-5" lift on my K5 & 37" MTR's (35" actual height) and my truck is in the garage right now. I believe my opening is 7' high. I believe my truck is about 6'9" tall.

It also helps that my tires are still at trail pressure though which is about 13-15psi.
