Tough (yet cheap) paint or something for floorboards?

My Tracker has no interior, just the metal floorboards. I've got mats down and the floor is in solid shape with just minor surface rust. I'd like to get some paint down on the floorboards and was pondering my options.

I have some sort of POR15 knock off that I can't recall the make of. Thinking about hitting the rusty areas with it and then topcoating the rest with something else.

I have some Rustoleum Hammered black. Used it before and like it but it is just paint when it comes down to it.

Rustoleum (or is it Krylon?) textured paint? Supposed to be pretty durable.

Duplicolor bedliner in a can. I know it's not great, not even Herculiner quality, but how about just to cover the bare floorboards I still haven't gotten around to?

I only have about $10 to spend on this so obviously a big thing of Herculiner isn't in the works and I only really have this weekend to do it.

My Tracker has gone from, "I'm going to do this, this, this, this, this, etc etc" a few years ago through the, "I've done this and this and that but still have to do..." and then it became, "eh, I'm going to sell it so why bother?" and is now in the "oh crap, I still own it and need it!" stage.

I've had good luck with Napa's brand of paint. It was under $20 for a gallon. It's really thick, so it needs to be thined out. I painted the floors and roll cage in my Camaro with it. Along with the axles and some misc brackets for the K5 with this stuff. It's holding up great.

Another option is to look into some paint from Tractor Supply. A friend of mine painted his truck with some off their farm implement paint. Brushed it on right from the can. Doesn't look the best (for an exterior paint job) but it's been extremly durable.

Looked at the budget and the paint cabinet I have and I think it's just going to get the POR15ish stuff and Duplicolor Hammered paint. I've got more of both than I originally thought I did.

Id just use the hammered paint for now. if need be strip it off later for something better. I put Duplicolor bedliner in my K10 cab and had good results.

Yeah, I've had good results I was just sorta fishing around for other options.

Found a bunch of rust in an unlikely spot so I haven't even painted it yet.

Well, that turned into a week long job but here's the finished pics. I also repainted the Herculiner. It had faded a bit and was showing me where I had put it on thin.

The crying shame is the rust has gotten bad in a few spots and I have it looking purty now.

Seems to be holding up well enough. I think they've changed the Hammered paint's formula a bit as it isn't as "dimpled" as it used to be.
