Tow hook pic?

Anyone have a pic of their factory tow hooks? In particular how they are mounted to the frame.

I think 1981 was the start for the new style. Here is the pre 1981 style

Does the post 81 style mount similar or do they mount horizontal? The reason I'm asking, I bought a set and looking at how to mount them, it appears I will need to cut or remove the air dam under the bumper or even cut the bumper. I want to be sure before I even think about any cutting.

I've been wanting to do tow hooks and it looks like there are 2 different air dams if you still have them. One with gapws for the tow hooks to fit through and one like mine. I want tow hooks but, call me crazy, I like my air dam and unfortunatly I don't have the cut outs. I have seen you can buy them in lmc.

My air dam did not have the cutouts, but a little trimming on the air dam mounting flange did the trick. The tow hooks are behind the air dam, but can be easily accessed by pushing the air dam in a little. Tow strap won't even hit the air dam.

I did have to trim the air dam slightly. But it was on the mounting flange and can't be seen unless you crawl under and look up at the tow hooks.

What size are the bolts on factory tow hooks?

The bolts are 1/2". They are actually the bumper bracket mount bolts to the frame. I used grade 8 replacements.
