You going to make it down for Memorial day?

I won't have my ox locker cable by then but if you are going I will roll with an open front diff.

Yep, we'll be there. One way or another!

You're missing a ramp.

I knew somebody would catch that. We managed to brake the ramp loading and unloading the blazer. We were on an off at least 3 times trying to get things leveled out right.

Thanks for the comps everybody. It's a work in progress. Hopefully the Diesel guy can give us a little more pull!

Out of curriosity (only because these school bus tow rigs have been discussed numerous times and have only been shot down due to the cost of registering and maintaining them) is there enough space to cut off the back part of the bus and make it into a flat bed?
You could still have a little cab up front, nothing spacious like now but it'd make getting around a heck of a lot easier by not being so freaking long...plus it just seems easier to pop the truck on and off...iono just something to think about.

Yep, there is easy enough room to do that and we have talked about it. The biggest economical factor to using a bus as a tow rig is to avoid the costs of motel and so on. So, if you are 3 or 4 people, cutting the back off is cutting off a good portion of your motel room.

We're gona try it for a while and see how it works. Who knows maybe in the future we will decide to shorten things up a bit. Not that expensive to maintain really. Comparable to any other tow rig. Tires, oil changes, brakes and so on.

Tires can be saved on if you know where to go.
