I`m thinking about a Crew Cab SRW, it is a bout 4 hrs away and not driveable. I have a 16ft car trailer, looks like it`ll fit wheelbase wise. I`m sure someone has moved one of these beasts, how did you do it? I tried sarching, to no avail, I know I`ve seen a few pics in the past. thanks

Its gonna overload the trailer more than likely, so the main risk is the fact you could screw up an axle. If any of your bearings or tires are on the way out this may give them the extra push over the edge.

You have to be careful, you will have some sticking out behind the trailer, which could be illegal.

I have done it before on my 16 ft car trailer, towed just fine, went about 40 miles. No problems towed straight and good. We were towing it with a reg cab Ford 3/4 ton

I pulled this thing home on a 14ft trailer and I could only do 50mph. just bound the front and rear and i was gone.

one thing about when I towed one. We tied it on opposite of what you would think. The front was all the way forward so we ran the straps in the front to the rear of the trailer. Straps off the rear axle where run towards the front of the trailer

How in the world did you get that up there

It SUCKED. Its a tilt trailer and used a come-along part way then used the guys truck bumper to push it up the rest of the way. It was going to be one of those quick and easy pick ups. 2.5hrs later started heading home.

I flat towed mine with my 08 Tundra. No motor/tranny, so was lighter, but still heavy truck. Only problem I had was sharp turns, the tires wanted to turn the opposite direction I was going. Towed it with a tow bar 200 miles one way.

flat towed this d350 (no motor, but had trans/tcase) with a m1008 about 50 miles on the highway. wasnt fun but got the job done

This probably wouldn't be safe for the road

Maybe its the over kill in me, but I doesn't make since that lower framework of the trailer doesn't go back to the axles, just looks like a weak link.

But, as you asked. I would tow with that, maybe a short distance.

I cringe when I see a 10 bolt heavily loaded

Yeah we borrowed the trailer, I think its a 7 ton trailer

3/4 ton suburban, I seem to remember it looking like it was squatting a lot more than the picture shows

It moved maybe 100 yards like that
