Ok so it just dawned on me the other day when i was hauling the stock 72 k5 blazer home that my 89 k5 blazer with 36 swampers that im gona make into a buggy is never gona fit. Especially if i get some 44 boggers:doah: So what are you guys using to tow your trucks, buggys and such? How wide of a trailer? The only good thing is that is my friends car trailer so i didnt buy it, although i was considering it until the other day.

Mine is 82" between the fenders. As long as your not running extremely wide tires, it fits. I run 16x12 rims with 38.5 14.5 16's and have to swap tires out.

If you would never tow anything other than trucks or things that don't sit to low to the ground I would consider a deck-over.

I have to run over the fender, but I am only using 2.5" backspace.

The trailer I use is 83" inside both fenders. I am running 37/12.5/15r

huh i guess i could always just make a heavy duty ramp over the wheel well. and i should still be able to have half the tread on the trailer. ill have to do some measuring when i get down to the shop sat. afternoon.

Another option is to make a fender on one side removable, then just run over the tire.

I did this to my trailer, take the pass side off. Then when I drive on all I have to do is keep the driver side touching the inside of the fender and everything is :D

are this typical widths (81-83" between the fender wells)for car trailers? or are there wider versions? i know the deckover ones are wider of course but i have a z28 camaro that sits pretty low. so deckover wouldnt work to well.

You don't need to make ramps to run over the fenderwells...the trailer I used this past trip had diamond plate fenderwells and you just drove right over them...

But if its really that big I'd suggest getting a set of small rollers to toss on...

My last truck I had was big. DRW 60 with 4.25 BS Wheels . and 44s Boggers.

The solution we came up with was taking 4x4s cutting them to fit the slope of the fenders ,and screwing them down. I got sick of rewelding my fenders up.
Also My trailer was 7 ft wide , and my tires were 6" off the deck on both sides ;) . I am getting a gooseneck next time. Screw fenders deckover ;).
