how much weight is safe for a blazer to tow. Thinking about towing 7000 to 8000 lbs. what do you think

If it has a skirt, or a motor, run it
72 blazer 454bb, turbo400, 3/4ton running gear

Pulling is not a problem, but having a 5000 pound truck, short wheel based truck, controlling and stopping 8000 pounds may be a tad bit of a chore, I Tow 7000 pound behind my 91 Suburban, it pulls great but the stopping and controlling the same can be a bitch.
