Couldn't find the answer in searches. I'm looking at doing a 2.5" shackle flip. I tow a camper trailer, some where around 2000lbs I think.

Will I be okay towing with the shackle flip?

This has been gone over so many times it hurts. I know that the search feture here is a little weird so we will get this started agian.
My opinion is that the shackle flip does not affect towing and stability. What does is the act of lifting the rig.
I am one of the few people that can say they have driven the same truck towing the same load with three different methods of lifting the rear of the truck. Spring, block, Shackle flip. I didn't notice anything to much different about the methods while towing. What did effect towing was when I put the lift on.
Others will have a different opinion.

I'm going to have to say search again, and if that doens't work, you can just scroll down through the posts on this page and find some info pretty quick.
Towing with a flip has been covered A LOT so there's lots of info to look at.

Personally, I have towed a similar camper trailer with our project 'burb and was happy with it, no problems. There's lots of details for you to read about...

That's cool. I got the impression from some of the old posts I ran across that it was a "hot button topic". Just couldn't figure out why my searches were unsuccessful.

I'll try scrolling through! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

After doing some more extensive searching I feel like a jackass now.
