I heard today that there is something in the works here about a diesel collaboration. Anybody hear anything about this?

I heard it from a heavy equipment diesel mechanic.
And I believe he has a good source.

I wonder if GM would have a prob w/ Toyo using the Isuzu as that is what the Duramax is. I know Gm dabbled with the Cat before the Duramax, but could not get it to pass the emissions...

I read in either Fourwheeler or 4wheel & Offroad that Nissan & toyota had cancelled their heavy duty plans. They plan to add a oil burner to the 1/2 ton line up, but plans for anything heavier were scrapped.

I know for sure that Nissan cancled theres because they were plannign on using the 11.5 14 bolt for there truck

Japanese trucks w/ American axles......I love the Nissan commercials claiming to have the highest ground clearance for their axles. High ground clearance w/factory axles/tires = tiny diffs.

High ground clearance with a 14bolt is not a happening!
